Time for Some School'n Possum Trot School is one of Cherokee's Historic Structures. A one room school house built in 1880 and restored in 1969. The building is open for public viewing from the exterior. It is furnished as it would have appeared in the 19th century Along Peachoid Rd. Streetview Images Google

I found not one but at least two schools by that name...but what I really enjoyed was the name of the road this hunt took me too. Made me fink of a massive sweet fleshy item (frozen of course) hurling through space, ready to strike the earth and bring on the next ice age.

Gonna be honest... I was looking all around Cherokee, NC until I saw the hint. THEN I was like "OMG, the water tower!". I'd like to have a nickel for every time I've driven by this little schoolhouse, and never knew it was there. Virtual:
