The Overhead Bridge
Circa 1888, the bridge was owned and maintained by the railroad. The narrow bridge served automobile traffic on the then main road through town over the railroad line until approximately 1940, when it was designated for pedestrian use only. The Town partnered with CSX to renovate the bridge in 2007. It's exhilarating and terrifying to stand on the bridge while a train approaches!
