Renfrow This General Merchandise store has history in the area for over 120 years. Got its start before 1900 with Thomas Jefferson “Captain” Renfrow, began as a mining engineer after the Civil War and opened a cotton farm and ginning operation along with this General Store with the proceeds of the mine. The last bale of cotton ginned is inside the store. No longer owned by the Renfrow family, the store was sold to a family friend in 1984. Matthews Streetview Images Google
